Review

If I'd read the reviews on here before my visit, I'd have been mortified, so I'm writing my first ever Trip Advisor review to reassure others in the same boat! We stayed for three nights last weekend and had a fabulous time. No complaints about our caravan (just a bit of mould on the grouting in the shower) beautiful location, lovely staff, and great facilities. Perhaps we were lucky with our accommodation, but I have to defend Away Resorts on some of the other points raised in the negative reviews. The company is at pains to remind you to book activities in advance - if anything I would have actually like fewer email prompts! - so we did indeed book in advance and therefore did everything we wanted to do. I know it means less flexibility, but it's just the way things are in these post-COVID times. And again, they are also at pains to explain (explane?) the plane situation on the website itself and in all their correspondence after booking. Lastly, as another poster has mentioned, you only pay for passes if you book privately, therefore it's the private owner's responsibility to advise their customers this cost - and definitely very underhand not to. Once again we really enjoyed our stay.

We've just come back from a lovely few days at Tattershall. The kids (3 &10) loved it and said they really want to go back ASAP.
The splash area, play area and arcades were great and we spent a lot of time there.
We ate in the main restaurant, think it was called The Spitfire. The food was lovely and even though it was busy, didn't take too long. As with other comments, prices are high but that is as expected at any holiday park.
The park is spotless as was our caravan. It had everything you could need.
The kids loved seeing the RAF planes, however would recommend checking the RAF website before booking to check when they are doing the might flights if you have little ones as they are very loud and flew through the night which did unsettle our 3 year old the first night.
We will definitely be coming back again.

We had an indulgent lakeside lodge on Gibson Close. The lodge was a brand new swift destiny based on waterski lake. The lodge was immaculately clean ( brand new in 2022) There where just three of us and a dog and it was very spacious. We also had the bonus of a washing machine. We got a welcome pack of prosecco, sparkling apple juice, fudge and milk. The dog also got a pack with a toy, treats, throw and a portable water bowl. We had a large hot tub too. We stayed last year in a private van but this was much bigger with a great view. The only downside were the bushes in front slightly blocking the view. The facilities are all dog friendly too ( other than pools etc obviously) Make sure you book activities well in advance to avoid disappointment.
